Kerry preparing to flip-flop again?

kerry_john.jpg So, with all the talk about Iran’s weapons flowing across the border, the smart Democrats are already hedging their bets. The less than nuanced among them, though, are not:

And speaking on ABC’s “This Week” television programme, Senator John Kerry said he has no doubt that “there are weapons flowing across the border” from Iran.

“Nobody questions, those of us who have been to Iraq and in the region know that there are Iranian instigators, agents in Iraq, and that’s happening, there’s no question,” Kerry said.

Perhaps Mr. Kerry should think twice before agreeing with the Bush administration, given that the moonbat base is already rejecting the obvious to further cripple our ability to protect our fighting forces. I suppose he needs to be reminded of his past faux pas on the issue:

“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force - if necessary - to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.”

Then again, Kerry didn’t need to be consistent in 2004 to win more votes than any other candidate in American history (save his opponent), so if he votes for some kind of retaliatory action against Iran, he can always backtrack later. The only thing he could really do to isolate himself from the base is to actually mean what he says.
