The death of Queen and country…

I now officially don’t give a crap about British opinion. They think we are a country of tasteless boors?

Definitely Maybe By Oasis Voted Best British Album

BRITPOP veterans Oasis have taken the top two places in a new chart of the best 50 British albums.

Fans voted the Manchester group’s first two LPs ahead of established classics by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

The top 10.

1 Definitely Maybe - Oasis [overblown, pasty homage to Beatlesque pop, the most derivative music ever recorded]

2 (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis [overblown, pasty homage to Beatlesque pop, the most derivative music ever... oh wait]

3 OK Computer - Radiohead [top 20, yes... #3? uh, no]

4 Revolver - The Beatles [interesting choice, but no.. Sgt Pepper's should be first]

5 The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses [again, top 20, sure, but not here]

6 Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles [Great Britain can go jump of the white cliffs... munge-faced wanks, all of them]

7 London Calling -The Clash [this is actually the only album in its correct place, or at least close enough...]

8 Under The Iron Sea - Keane [who the crap is this? oh yeah, Coldplay and Radiohead's bastard flipper baby]

9 Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd [higher please, but with all that's come already, I'll take what I can get..]

10 Urban Hymns - The Verve [The Verve? The Verve?! I just died a little inside]
